Riverside is committed to the strongest possible leadership team in support of assuring Riverside remains a place where employees choose to work for their personal best, where physicians choose to practice, and where patients choose to receive their care. To that end, we offer three leadership development programs you must apply for to be considered:

  • Riverside Young Professionals
  • Riverside Leadership Excellence Certificate 
  • Riverside Emerging Leaders Program.

Descriptions of each program follows below along with application due dates...

Riverside Young Professionals is an 18 month program that meets once per month targeted at high potentials or new frontline supervisors who are new to the organization. This program provides a deep and broad orientation to Riverside Healthcare with community service projects, networking with like-minded employees, relationship building and access to the Riverside executive team. Applications are due to Human Resources by 10/16/2017.

The Riverside Leadership Excellence Certificate program is offered in cooperation with Kankakee Community College using world-renowned DDI training modules and beginning in February 2018. This evidence-based 11 month program is targeted at front level supervisors or managers new to leadership. The entire fee to attend this program is paid by Riverside and limited to approximately 20 Riverside staff per cohort from non-Leadership Council leaders. The program is a combination of class sessions at KCC and onsite coaching and application at Riverside Medical Center. Applications due by 10/27/17 to the OD and Learning Department. 

The Riverside Emerging Leaders Program is a 12 month program beginning in March 2018. It is developed for individuals with the potential and interest to become a supervisor or are a new frontline supervisor who is beginning their leadership journey. Participants meet once/month for four hours with a focus on management skill development and coaching on Riverside practices. This cohort is limited to approximately 20 Riverside staff per cohort. Applications due by 10/27/17 to the OD and Learning Department.
