Riverside Healthcare announced today that it has earned the 2024 Military Friendly® Employer designation.
Institutions earning the Military Friendly ® Employer designation were evaluated using public data sources and responses from a proprietary survey.
Over 1,200 companies participated in the 2024 Military Friendly® survey.
“We are proud to announce that Riverside has been re-designated as a 2024 Military Friendly® Employer,” said Riverside President and CEO Phil Kambic. “This re-designation reflects our continued commitment to creating a welcoming and supportive environment for those who have served our nation.”
VIQTORY determined methodology, criteria, and weightings with input from the Military Friendly ® Advisory Council of independent leaders in the military recruitment community. Final ratings were determined by combining an organization’s survey score with an assessment of the organization’s ability to meet thresholds for Applicant, New Hire Retention, Employee Turnover, and Promotion & Advancement of veterans and military employees.
“Organizations earning the Military Friendly Employers designation have wholeheartedly invested in comprehensive and impactful initiatives that bring about positive, life-changing results for our valued service members, dedicated military spouses, and esteemed veterans within their ranks,” said Kayla Lopez, Senior Director of Military Partnerships at Military Friendly®, “We salute these employers.”
Riverside Healthcare will be showcased in the 2024 Military Friendly® Employers in the December issue of G.I. Jobs ® magazine and on MilitaryFriendly.com.
We are pleased to formally announce the introduction of gender pronouns in our organization’s email signature. Recognizing the importance of fostering an inclusive and respectful work environment, we invite everyone to share their preferred gender pronouns. Whether it’s he/him, she/her, they/them, or any other pronouns, this initiative aims to honor and affirm individual gender identities. We encourage open conversations and respect for all colleagues, making our workplace more welcoming. By embracing gender pronouns, we take another step forward in promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion, where each team member feels valued and comfortable being their authentic selves.
Please consider adding your preferred gender pronouns below your title with the inclusion of the link to the blog post for Why gender pronouns matter https://www.cultureamp.com/blog/gender-pronouns-in-workplace.
You can manage your email signature in the settings option of your email.

Based on feedback at the spring State of Riverside meetings, we have re-opened the opportunity to eligible rehired employees to submit years of service restoration via the link/QR code below from now until 7/3/2023. Please alert employees who do not check their Riverside emails often at huddles/appraisals/rounding of this messaging.
Current employees who have been rehired are eligible for Service Restoration
Rehired employees are eligible for Service Restoration, even if it has been more than 3 years since their separation date. This one-time exception has been extended through 7/3/2023. Employees must submit a Service Recognition Request electronically via the link or QR code below no later than 7/3/2023 to Human Resources to have, if a rehired employee, your seniority and Earned Time reviewed and bridged.
New Earned Time accrual rates (if applicable) will be effective the first pay period after the employee’s request is approved.
Prior to a voluntary termination or at the time of an involuntary termination, Riverside Healthcare management will communicate to an employee whether he/she is eligible for rehire, and if any conditions exist that would affect the rehire eligibility process. Staff who leave Riverside in good standing and later want to return are eligible for consideration for rehire. This eligibility status will also be used to determine who is eligible to complete clinical rotations, internships, or volunteer assignments at Riverside. Rehired employees who meet eligibility criteria will also be given credit for prior years of service.
