Riverside Among Nation's Top Performing Hospitals for Treatment of Heart Attack

Riverside Receives American College of Cardiology NCDR Chest Pain - MI Registry Platinum Award

Riverside Medical Center has earned national recognition for heart care. Riverside received the American College of Cardiology's NCDR Chest Pain  ̶  MI Registry Platinum Performance Achievement Award for 2019. This is the highest award for Chest Pain MI and recognizes Riverside as one of only 225 hospitals to receive the honor out of over 6,000 hospitals nationwide.

The Chest Pain  ̶  MI Registry empowers healthcare teams to consistently treat heart attack patients using the most current, science-based guidelines as outlined by the American College of Cardiology and American Heart Association. It establishes a national standard for understanding and improving the quality, safety and outcomes of care provided for patients with coronary artery disease, specifically high-risk heart attack patients.

"This award demonstrates Riverside's commitment and success in implementing a higher standard of care for heart attack patients," said Vikas Patel, MD, Medical Director of Cardiac Cath Lab. "Furthermore, it's a testament to our dedication to transforming heart health in our community."
