Congratulations to Riverside’s Lean Fundamentals Certificate Program Graduates!

Congratulations to our July graduates for the Riverside Lean Fundamentals Certificate Program.  Lean is a process improvement methodology that encourages employees – from front line workers to leadership – to look at the work they do every day and find ways to make things better.  Each member learned about Lean by working on a project based on issues affecting her own department. As part of the course requirements, each participant presented her project and the outcomes to Riverside leaders. Please be sure to recognize the following graduates and ask them about their projects:

  • Colleen Wepprecht (Organizational Development & Learning) – Standardization of RMG Ambulatory training
  • Cristina Ritzema (Magnet) & Paula Pourchot (Quality Improvement) – Inpatient pre-op procedures to maintain and reduce the risk of infection
  • Molly Saathoff (Radiology) – Patient satisfaction scores for ED radiology patients through standardized staff rounding
  • Mary Green (Family Birthing Center) – Labor & Delivery charge capture efficiency
  • Margaret Ondrey (Patient Care Services) – Omni-cell organization
  • Amberly Walter (Respiratory) – Reducing wasted respiratory equipment

If you would like to be a part of the next Riverside Lean Certificate program, or learn about how Lean can help you uncover opportunities for improvement in your area, contact:
